Carer Organisations

Carer OrganisationsIf you are having problems, do not despair. There is a lot of very useful information available that may just go a long way to fixing your problem and, of course, we have 45 years of supporting carers and our adviser team can help you too.

Carers UK has an excellent website with lots of useful information on it. There is substantial information on carers’ rights and a very good downloadable document called “Looking After Someone A guide to carers’ rights and benefits” which will be of particular interest to carers of our members. This guide sets out what rights carers have and how they can get financial help, practical help and help with combining work with caring. Click its logo on the right of the page to access its site.

Carers Together, a consortium of carers in Hampshire, provides useful information for carers on its website. Click their logo on the right of the page to access its site.

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers has very useful information on its website. It also has a carers centre in Winchester. Click its logo on the right of the page to access its site.

If you are a young carer between 12 and 18 years old you may find some helpful additional information on the Princess Royal Trust for Carers special site for young carers called YC.net. Click its logo on the right of the page to access its site.
