Family Carer Support

Welcome to the carer’s section of our website. We recognise the crucially important role that family carers have in supporting our members and this section seeks to support them, when needed, to continue caring. Our carers are of all ages and each of their circumstances is unique. Some care alone and others have a spouse or outside assistance to help them. Some are fit and well and others have health problems of their own.

This section is about supporting carers themselves and not the person they care for, which is addressed elsewhere on this website.

In this section you will find information on carers’ rights and carer’s assessments. In addition there is some useful information on finance matters that apply to carers. We do not give financial advice, but link you to other sites that do.

There are other national and local organisations that provide information to carers. Information on these can be downloaded from this page.
