Governance
Andover & District Mencap is governed by a Board of Trustees. The trustees are drawn from all walks of life and some are parents or siblings of people with a learning disability.
The trustees focus on their obligations in charity law and collectively, through the Board of Trustees, seek to deliver high quality governance to the organisation.
It delivers a strategy that reflects a sharp focus on the objects of the organisation and its effectiveness in providing charitable and contract services of public benefit in an ever changing external environment. In doing so legal and regulatory compliance, prudence and the duty of care are central themes throughout its work to meet the high standards the public and its regulators rightly demand of it. |
