History

Andover and District Mencap has a rich history spanning 45 years. Notwithstanding the many difficulties charities face with funding and, in our case, educating the public about disability, it has steadily grown to being one of the largest local learning disability organisations in the country.

We have two versions of our history: a short history, and a booklet spanning 1964 to 2004. The most recent years are currently being recorded.
