Housing

HousingThere are several approaches to securing a roof over your head and each has its own pros and cons. This section addresses each of these in some detail.

The main providers of rented homes are private landlords, housing associations and charitable providers. Usually, all these offer rented property where the learning disabled user has a tenancy agreement with the landlord. In the case of certain housing associations it is possible to enter into shared ownership agreements. For those with enough financial resources owning a home of their own is quite possible.

Please see the downloadable factsheets at the right of this page. They cover choosing housing and each option is discussed in more detail.
