Self Directed Support

Hampshire County Council has signed up to In-Control Total, which means it has committed itself to whole system change from the model of social care that has been in place for a decade or more to one called Self Directed Support, where people entitled to support have an Individual Budget and buy in their own care and support. |

This will bring changes in the way services are commissioned, with individuals purchasing their own care rather than the local authority.
We already have experience of providing support through this new system. We aim to continue to meet people’s needs with quality support when this new system rolls out on a much larger scale.
