Support in the Community

Andover & District Mencap support service provides professional carers to assist people with learning disabilities access the services and activities they wish to. 

Sometimes parents and family carers have difficulty in supporting their sons or daughters and sometimes people have no family; the type of support we provide is dependent on the individual member’s needs.

We can also provide comprehensive support to clients living with carers; this support at home can include personal care and respite care.

Support is mainly funded through Direct Payments but we also provide care under Social Services and Supporting People contracts.
