WorkZone

WorkZone is an employment service operated by Andover & District Mencap. It provides work experience, on the job training and encourages the personal discipline required to hold down a job in a number of settings.

People with a learning disability often fall down the cracks in government employment policy. While we wish this was not the case, we pick up the pieces and do what we can within the resources available.

People with a learning disability sometimes take a long term to learn things, however, the sustained investment of time and energy often pays off. The service has been successful in having some of its members move on into paid commercial employment with the possibility of others to follow.

We also provide support to people entering commercial employment while they settle down and learn their jobs.
